The latest recipient of the Small Business Revolving Loan Fund Program has been announced by ‘Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County’. The two of the recipients are ‘Floor Solutions LLC’ and ‘Ginkins International LLC’.
Floor solutions LLC, at 402 E. Market St. in New Albany received a $50,000 loan for Warehouse improvements. The working capital is being used for positioning business for future growth. This business got established in 2006 and it offers installation of ceramic tile and making of pre and unfinished hardwood, carpet and vinyl.
The Ginkins International LLC has got $46,000 loan for making improvements in building, equipment and working capital for a retail shop that is established at 138E. Spring St., downtown, New Albany. This store offers handmade jewelry, home accents and gifts with an international flair. The Horseshoe Foundation is trusted to take business to the next level and grow with the ‘new’ New Albany.
The foundation has originally capitalized the fund for $250,000 with additional $100,000 announced in October and $150,000 announced in January. This fund is meant to help private business enterprises that are based in Floyd County and having plans for expansion, retention and increase of employees.
A Floyd County board member of Horseshoe Foundation, Kevin Zurschmiede, says, “We are very proud to provide low-interest financing for these companies.” This loan will make it possible for one business to expand current operations and create additional jobs for the economy. The other loan that is granted will enable opening of a new retail business in downtown.
