The ‘Startup America Program’ completed its one-year anniversary. It is an initiative of White House to celebrate, accelerate and inspire high growth entrepreneurship all over America. The SBA Start up America program has been helping businesses, during this one year span, to grow and create jobs in America. It has stamped the blue-print of an economy that is meant to last. Startup America has launched several mentoring programs so as to help small business owners and entrepreneurs find access to capital.
SBA worked with federal agencies for building a more supportive environment to achieve entrepreneurship goals. Several ideas that SBA have introduced came from small business owners themselves. The Start up America program joined hands with White House and other government agencies and went to entrepreneurs to ask them about their existing problems. “Startup America: Reducing Barriers” is one program of the Start up America initiative that has heard voices of 1,000 small business owners facing problems. The suggestions from the small business owner’s end helped to reduce regulatory burden, improve access to information and processes, and expand mentoring programs for small business owners.
It is great that President introduced the ‘Startup America Legislative Agenda’ as it provides proposals to help open greater opportunities for the country’s ambitious entrepreneurs. The agenda includes tax breaks and doubles deduction of entrepreneur’s start-up expenses. All these provisions have serious financial implications and thus can help entrepreneurs grow their enterprise. What Startup America initiative has been doing in its first year has to continue so as to create an economy that is built to last.
