U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named the Cleveland-based KeyBank as top 7(a) Lender for the year 2012. ‘KeyBank’ is among 23 other lenders recognized by the SBA for their outstanding service. SBA has recognized groups consisting of investors, lenders and entrepreneur-assistance providers.
Keybank is recognized for its 31 percent growth in number of SBA-backed loans and 90 percent increase in SBA gross dollars approved in 2011. This honor clearly reflects Keybank’s relationship approach to small businesses and an ongoing commitment to small businesses.
Small business loans amounting to $5 billion is pledged by KeyBank and will be made by 2014. This further promotes the bank’s effectiveness. The help that the bank is planning to extend to small businesses is expected to be fulfilled before the schedule.
