The National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) congratulates its members for being recognized by the SBA as Certified Development Companies (CDCs) of the year. The winners were divided into two categories: CDC with portfolio less than $50 Million per year and the CDC with a portfolio greater than $50 Million per year. The winners were Community Development Resources in Nebraska and Wisconsin Business Development located in Wisconsin, respectively.
The SBA takes pride in recognizing the important work done by Community Development Centers around the country. CDCs help small businesses to sustain and create jobs that America needs. They also work extensively with the SBA to offer loans to small businesses and foster innovation in the community.
Karen Mills and the SBA team have shown great leadership and support for the small business community during times US economic crisis. The 504 loan initiative facilitates long-term, fixed rate loans for small businesses with down payments as low as 10%. CDCs are known to work with SBA and private sector lenders so as to help small businesses receive business loans under the 504 program.
The Wisconsin Business Development (WBD) this year’s SBA CDC of the year. Apart from offering 504 loans, WBD also offers several other loan programs and services so as to serve its mission of helping small enterprises grow and create jobs. Community Development Resources is the other CDC winner this year. Their mission is to provide capital, technical assistance and training opportunities for small business and startups in the State of Nebraska.
