It appears that entrepreneurs certainly know where to start a business, and it is the Silicon Valley.
San Jose stands along with neighboring Sunnyvale and Santa Clara as the best area for small businesses in the United States.
The winning results, according to Biz2Cedit.com, are based on a weighted average that includes annual revenue, credit score, age of business (in months), cash flow, debt-to-income ratio, incorporation (C-Corp or LLC versus sole proprietorship) and business owners’ personal credit scores.
Rohit Arora, the Biz2Credit CEO, praised the rich soil that continues to encompass the San Jose region.
“San Jose remains the center of innovation and new business job creation in the U.S.,” said Arora, who is regarded as one of the nation’ leading experts in small business finance.
San Jose, which is is known as the birth place of modern computer and network technology, continues to expand as a center of technology innovation, which clearly is demonstrated by it being acclaimed as our country’s best small business city.
Biz2Credit defined “small businesses” as companies with fewer than 250 employees or less than $10 million in annual revenues. Biz2Credit analyzed 12,000 businesses that have been in operation for more than one year.
