Everyone needs to get more done every day, and if you are a business owner this is likely more true for you than anyone. Here are some simple tips to get more done each day.
Get Up Early
Got to bed early, too. This is the way that normally works best as it ensures that you are prepared and ready for the day when the rest of the business world gets started. If you are a night person and have a more flexible schedule, you could try staying up later and follow the same tips that I am about to offer, but you will need to be able to sleep later to compensate. Getting enough sleep is crucial to productivity. During the early or late hours, when no one is working or demanding your time, do those things that may get neglected during regular working hours. Things like tackling your inbox, working on your schedule/ calendar, and even filing and organizing your workspace. These things steal and amazing amount of focus when not done, and getting them out of the way early in the day can free up a large amount of focus and help you be more productive.
Tweak Your Schedule
Some tasks that do not need to be done every day can slip through the cracks and pile up, eventually becoming tasks that cannot be ignored. By having a plan for these kinds of jobs you can ensure they get done and that you are not preoccupied by them during the day. Filing can be one of these things. Depending on what you have to file it may not be necessary to file every day. Maybe you can file at the end of the day on Fridays, or go through your email folders once a month. Just schedule time at regular intervals to tackle tasks that do not need to be done daily.
Incentives Work Wonders
It doesn’t even have to be anything big. Simply ensuring you have a coffee mug you enjoy, your favorite pens, a fun candle or essential oil to light or diffuse while you work, or even having your desk stocked with our favorite gum or a hunting magazine to enjoy during a break can help. Take those things that you really enjoy and allow yourself to enjoy them while you work.
Of course when it becomes apparent that your productivity is helping your business to grow, you may need to look into financing. When that time comes, Biz2Credit is here to help. Visit Biz2Credit.com today for more information.
