I’ve been keeping an eye on a particular ad in the local weekly paper, just to see where this marketing option was heading. The ad wasn’t large (about a quarter page), but it did contain the photo and a large headline in color.
The advertiser: A radio program focusing on small business with twice-weekly shows that offer tips and pointers about getting ahead in business. The advice is meant to target entrepreneurs, executives, and salespeople.
The nice thing about this particular radio offering is the station lists sponsors and partners in the print ad – another way to promote a business’s name. In this particular situation, the phone numbers and web sites also are promoted; all sponsors, by the way, have web sites.
Call it a win-win-win: on air, online, and in print – a marketing trifecta for small business entrepreneurs.
Is there something like this available for your small business in your part of the country? Check out your local weekly papers or tune into your area radio stations to hear what they have to say about small business ownership. If nothing is available, you could offer your services as a guest to talk about small business – another way to bring your business more attention.
For small businesses, there are a ton of cross-marketing opportunities all in one place – on air, online, and in print. And those who take advantage, they are surely gaining a wider audience for their investment.
As you plan your marketing for 2016, investigate new channels to promote yourself and seek out greater exposure. It’s all in the name of helping your small business succeed.
